Tape And Jointing

Tape and Jointing is the most popular finish of a plasterboard wall or ceiling as it is more cost effective, has a quicker application time on site and has no drying out time. It produces a smooth, continuous crack free surface ready for final decoration.

Tape and Jointing involves three stages:

1. Beading the tape and filling the joint

2.Sanding down and applying another fill to cover the shrinkage

3. Final coat and sanding down

The surface is then ready to be painted straight on to the plasterboard.
